Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CADENA protocol, interfaces, and related services. By accessing CADENA, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of CADENA
CADENA is a set of open-source smart contracts, interfaces, and tools deployed on Solana and, in the future, on a dedicated CADENA layer-one chain. CADENA is not a legal entity, company, or traditional service provider. The software is maintained by a distributed group of contributors and community members.
2. Eligibility
You may use CADENA only if you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction, are of legal age to form a binding contract, and are not barred from using such software under applicable law, including sanctions or restrictions lists. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of CADENA is lawful.
3. Wallets and security
CADENA is non-custodial. You are solely responsible for securing your wallet, private keys, passphrases, and any other credentials. Loss of private keys may lead to the permanent loss of access to your assets and on-chain identity. Project contributors cannot recover lost keys or reverse transactions.
4. User conduct
You agree not to use CADENA for any illegal activity, including but not limited to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, market manipulation, or other unlawful behavior. You also agree not to interfere with the normal operation of the protocol or its interfaces, including through denial-of-service attacks, malicious contract interactions, or automated scraping beyond reasonable use.
5. Content and communications
CADENA may include social features such as profiles, posts, forums, and chat rooms. You are responsible for the content you publish and must not post content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or violates the rights of others. Public content may be permanently stored on-chain or in distributed systems and may not be removable.
6. No custody or fiduciary duty
CADENA contributors do not take custody of user assets and do not owe fiduciary duties to users. All transactions are executed by your wallet software at your instruction. You are responsible for reviewing and approving each transaction before signing.
7. Changes to the protocol
CADENA may evolve over time through software upgrades, governance decisions, or new deployments. There is no guarantee of backward compatibility. You are responsible for staying informed about updates that may affect your use of the protocol.
8. Termination
Because CADENA smart contracts are deployed to public blockchains, they cannot be unilaterally shut down. However, access to specific interfaces may be limited or disabled at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Your on-chain interactions remain governed by the underlying blockchain rules.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall project contributors, maintainers, or affiliates be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with CADENA or the use or other dealings in the software.
10. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of CADENA after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
